A Look Back - Top Ten Posts of 2022

 


Last week, I bid farewell to yet another successful year as an author, and welcomed 2023 with much fanfare and lots of bubbly. Can you believe another year has come and gone? Where did the time go? 

To start off the new year, I dug into my stats, to see which of last years' posts were most popular and recap all that I've accomplished on this crazy writing journey of mine. And so, without further ado, here are my most popular blog posts of 2022, chosen by you, the readers:

In fact, epilepsy is the most diagnosed canine neurological disease...



I'm changing things up this week for a cause near and dear to my heart: Today is not only Valentine's Day but also International Epilepsy Day! This initiative is jointly sponsored by the International Bureau for Epilepsy and the International League Against Epilepsy. It is a global event which takes place on the second Monday of February each year with the aim to improve epilepsy awareness...



OUCH! I just got up from my desk after a long writing session, and all of my joints feel tense and are cracking from the sudden movement. I guess I just sat too long in one attitude. Do you know that feeling?



When publishing a book, the moment of truth is simply inevitable. After all, it is the moment that you have anxiously awaited and probably even dreamed about. The printed proof copy of your book has finally arrived on your doorstep! That just happened to me…my newest historical fiction novel THE EMPRESS'S DIADEM - Book 7 of the Country Girl Empress series showed up on my door step a few days ago. I'm just giddy with excitement...



So, this thing happened this morning. I woke up to find that my historical fiction novel, A LIFE IN THE SHADOW OF THE CROWN, book two of #TheCountryGirlEmpressSeries, won the Firebird Book Award in the historical fiction category. Woohoo! First thing I did is get out a bottle of bubbly and danced around the kitchen like a little maniac. I know - sounds totally silly right? But I just couldn't help it! I can't believe my good fortune!



Homemade Cinnamon Roll Treats. Quick, easy, and packed with flavor. These lip-smacking treats are my dogs' new favorite goodies. And soon, your furry friends will crave them, too!



So, this thing happened yesterday. I checked my email to find that my historical fiction novel, THE PERPETUAL TRAVELER book three of #TheCountryGirlEmpressSeries, won the Firebird Book Award in the biographical fiction category. Woohoo! First thing I did is get out a bottle of bubbly and danced around the kitchen like a little maniac. I know - sounds totally silly right? But I just couldn't help it! I can't believe my good fortune!



I'm taking a short break from 19th century Vienna and transport my readers even further back in time to 12th century Aquitaine. Following on the heels of THE EMPRESS'S DIADEM, book seven of #TheCountryGirlEmpressseries, I'm diligently working on WITH THE HEART OF A LIONESS, the story of AliƩnor of Aquitaine, projected to release in 2023...
