A New Year, New Opportunities and a New Genre!

Can you believe it, 2016 is already here!!! I just love a New Year! I love the freshness and hope it brings! It's a fresh start, when all of your hopes and dreams can become reality.

For the past few days, I've asked myself if I achieved all of my goals last year? Well, I published book number four (One RV and Three People at Denali National Park) and book number five (Living with Canine Epilepsy). Plus, our family survived another year of problems, big and small; not to mention that we fostered a highly pregnant dog, who gave birth to nine squirmy puppies. While all the puppies eventually found their forever homes, their mother recently returned to us for another round of fostering. I'm certain there were other, smaller goals I planned to achieve at the beginning of the year, but sometimes priorities change and things go by the wayside.

For the new year I have decided to change things up a bit, and add a new genre to my repertoire. Not that long ago I began to work on a historical fiction novel, and so far I have written 176 pages of it. Some might think that a writer of non-fiction, now writing fiction...not sure if that's a good idea!? Well, I decided to take on the challenge and give it a whirl. Not sure where the journey will take me, but I look forward to the adventure!

Wishing everyone a happy and prosperous New Year!
