World Animal Day started in Italy in 1931, as an annual celebration of all things furry. Today it is a popular day on which to remember the important role animals play in our world, along with the people who devote their lives to protect and care for them. As for me...I love animals and I can't imagine my life without them! While I might not be Doctor Doolittle, I do talk to my animals all the time.
